Launched in 1999, EverQuest (EQ) is a Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game (MMORPG). EQ set the precedent for many games that followed by being the first commercially successful game to use a 3D engine. After 20 years, EQ is still alive and kicking offering classic (TLP) and current (Live) content servers.
My EQ journey started during the Ruins of Kunark expansion (circa 2000). I primarily play an Enchanter named Rexa on the Cazic-Thule server, and I am a member of the Silent Redemption raid team. I also raid with other teams on my Cleric, Bard, Druid, Magician or Shadow Knight as my time allows.
EQ offers group and raid content, as well as 12 tradeskills to keep you busy. New and not sure where to start? There are guilds across all servers catering to any style of gameplay (ie: social, casual to dedicated raiding). I highly recommend you join a guild as you will find many of them to be welcoming of new players.
In addition to my class guides, I compiled a list of resources from other sites to assist you in your journeys throughout Norrath. I recommend you familiarize yourself with GINA – a log monitoring program many raid teams rely on. Don’t forget to grab an updated map-pack as well to figure out where you are going! Many guilds may also use a chat service, such as Discord, to help guide you further.
